Meet Muhammad Asif Pakistani Mr. Bean

In the recent T-20 World Cup, Zimbabwe vs Pakistan became a big match as Zimbabwe accused the Pakistanis of sending them a fake Mr Bean for one of their events. The news became huge and received international attention. Later, when Zimbabwe beat Pakistan, there was a sensation as the President of Zimbabwe and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were also talking about Mr. Bean's entire scenario.

Waseem Badami caught up with our very own Mr Bean and shared his journey. He said he used to work in the textile industry but as business declined, his friends suggested he become Mr Bean because he resembled the real Mr Bean Rowan Atkinson.

This is when he started the process of watching the original series because he didn't even know who Mr. Bean was at the time.

He then revealed that he was actually invited to Zimbabwe by an Indian-origin businessman and was marketed there as a Pakistani Mr. Bean, but was given world-class security and protocol as soon as he got there. Those who hadn't seen the commercials thought he might be the real Mr. Bean and were therefore angry.

Pakistani Mr. Bean now works in the property sector and does events and shows as his bread and butter.
