Sanam Jung is a very talented Pakistani television actoress. She started her career as a VJ and then switched to acting. A popular drama with Imran Abbas was Dil Muttuz which brought him immense fame. She also acted in Mere Humdam Mere Dost, Alvida and Mohabbat Subh Ka Sitara. Well, most recently, she is coming up in Pyari Mona in which she plays an overweight girl who faces body shaming.
In a recent interview with BBC Urdu, Sanam Jung revealed that when Pyari Mona was offered, she initially refused and a year later she agreed. In an interview with the BBC, she said, "It's true that I refused it initially and after a gap of a year I said yes. I agreed to do it because I Thought I went through the same body shaming thing, I also thought it was an important message, after deciding I read it by heart and did it. Well, obviously, I refused because of people. Done. I was thinking about what people would think while doing this.
