Why Did Hajra Yamin Agree To Work With Mohsin Abbas Haider

Hajra Yamin is bold, talented and opinionated. She always speaks her heart and never succumbs to social pressure. Although she has been a part of a few run of the mill projects, she usually tries to play different roles and has something to offer the audience. She has done films like Pink Memsaab and recently signed up for a web series Sevak which shows the true face of fascism in India. Hajra played the role of an Indian reporter named Vidya in this project.

The web series also featured Mohsin Abbas Haider, which was canceled by the industry a few years ago after allegations of domestic abuse against his ex-wife surfaced. He lost almost his entire career and many have said they would never work with him. Recently, the host Rabia Anam refused to sit with him on the morning show.

In a recent interview, Hajra was asked why she agreed to work with Mohsin. To this she replied that there are only limited number of roles for women in our industry where she is playing a unique character and not a damsel in distress, so she will never leave her professional position and if she has to If she gets a good role, she will take advantage of the opportunity. However, she may avoid going to award shows or events where such people with allegations are accommodated and will consider doing so.
