The Legend of Maula Jatt is slated to release on October 13, 2022. The film is a different take on the old classic Maula Jatt, starring Sultan Rahi as Maula Jatt and Mustafa Qureshi as Noori Nat. New Maula Jatt is a completely different story with the same characters. But they both have one person in common, that is the writer Nasir Adeeb, who was also the writer of the first film.
Nasir Adeeb wrote more than 400 films in his career and then retired after the decline of the film industry.
Nasir Adeeb is also the father of actress Zoya Nasir, who we have seen impressing everyone with her acting in big dramas like Mere Humsafar and Dobara.
Although Nasir Adeeb's career has been illustrious, since he retired years ago, films have progressed and the style has changed since then. So, when Bilal Lashari approached him again to write Maula Jatt, things were going to be different. Thus the two worked together on the new script.
Nasir Sahib humbly said during his recent interview with Fuchsia that he told Bilal Lashari that this is his debut again. He added that he wrote a script for The Legend of Maula Jatt which Bilal was not keen on and then when Bilal shared his story with Nasir Sahib.
Nasir Sahib narrated when he came to know that there is only 40 years difference in his story and Bilal's story. He then collaborated with Bilal and made the script more rational with each character having a rational point of view.
